KARYN
WILLIAMS
Karyn Williams was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. As an only child, she spent many hours at her neighborhood branch library reading books in the children's section. By the time she was twelve years old, she had outgrown the children's section and was reading novels by Nikki Giovanni and Alex Haley. Listening to her grandmother and other adults, she also heard stories about life in the early days of Gary.
After spending over 30 years as a professional in marketing communications in the areas of education, healthcare, and government, she has returned to her first love of creative writing. In 2025, she leaned into her passion drawing on the many stories she heard as a young child. Those stories, combined with her vivid imagination, have become the basis for creating interesting fiction that engages, enlightens, and entertains readers.
