Karen Williams is president of Fluid Communications and is a dedicated communication professional with a journey that has spanned over three decades and traversed the realms of education, government, and healthcare.
From crafting compelling public relations strategies to engineering integrated marketing plans that seamlessly blend creativity and strategy, she has employed her expertise to amplify brands and stories that matter. Her journey has been as multifaceted as it has been rewarding – from working in the government, education and healthcare sector, Karen's commitment has been marked by a commitment to transparency, fostering trust, and shaping communications that resonates with audiences for brands.

Her journey has always been aligned with the transformative power of digital innovation. From conceptualizing integrated marketing campaigns to leveraging the reach of podcasts and radio, shes harnessed technology to amplify the impact of brand and industry stories.

An Indiana University graduate, she earned a B.S. in Journalism. This academic odyssey ignited her love for the written word, setting the stage for a lifelong commitment to the art of communication. Fueled by the desire to refine her skills, she pursued an MSA from the prestigious Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Karen will complete her professional certification in community engagement from Pepperdine University in November 2023.

Nakea S. Barksdale

Nakea S. Barksdale is a seasoned public relations and marketing communications professional with more than 25 years of experience. Her patterned career has led her to work across many sectors – sports, politics, medical, youth development and entertainment. She specializes in public/media relations, digital media, and strategic brand development.
Nakea earned undergraduate degrees in Journalism and English and a master’s degree in business administration specializing in marketing. Nakea also holds a post graduate certification in public relations, advertising and applied communications.
Courtney D. Williams
Community Engagement Specialist

Courtney Williams, has partnered with city and regional government agencies, and nonprofit organizations across the nation to provide strategic guidance and anti-privilege and anti-bias cultural competency training. and events.
​She holds a BA in Public and Environmental Affairs from Indiana University and an ​MCP in Urban Planning, from the University of Cincinnati.
​
She is also a DEI consultant and runs THE BROWN BIKE GIRL bicycle advocacy in NY.
Community Engagement Specialist

Linda Miles is a 30-year veteran in the oil and gas industry working for Northern Indiana Public Service company and IBM as human resources generalist. She currently works as a community engagement coordinator with Fluid Communications. She has a B.A. degree in organizational management from Calumet College of St. Joseph.
